Starting from the 'Adi Parva' the very first chapter of the epic, she goes on narrating the entire story of Mahabharata in a dramatic style. The author confesses in the preface of this book that after reading the literal translations of this great epic by many authors and still dissatisfied, she decided to do it herself with a touch of drama. According to her a literal translation is like the wrong side of the tapestry where one can see all the threads but the pattern is missing. Hence with a touch of drama, she re-tells the story of Mahabharata. The author has also narrated Ramayana and Shrimad Bhagawad.
